When should I flush my tankless water heater?
Tankless water heaters will naturally make water more corrosive. Maintaining a water heater every 6 months will eliminate many water quality problems.

Your Tankless should be flushed at least every 6 months - to control the build-up of mineral deposits. This will help the tankless water heater operate more fuel efficiently and will usually extend the life of the heater. Furthermore, the water heater will need to be flushed if the hot water becomes a yellow or brownish color due to an accumulation of rust or if you find sand-like mineral sediment in the hot water.

Customers sometimes report white particles that clog plumbing fixtures. They may be bits of calcium carbonate scale coming from your water heater. The scaling may be worsened because water heater thermostat is too high. If the particles are calcium carbonate, you probably need to flush your water heater. Many manufacturers recommend periodic flushing of water heaters to remove sediment that can build up.

Descaler Kit has been designed to work with Tankless Water Heaters that provide 3/4" hot and cold service connections. If these valves have not been installed on your heater, then the heater must be disconnected from the plumbing and drained, and the System Descaler Kit must be connected directly to the cold and hot water connections, or have isolation valves installed.
